Civic Leader Cynthia Massey

Please join me on Thursday, April 25, when the Helotes City Council recognizes Cynthia Massey with the Helotes Civic Award for her outstanding service as the Place 4 Council Member. After 16 years of exceptional service to our community, she is stepping down from the Helotes City Council to focus on her career as an award-winning author and historian of Helotes and Texas history.

Her upcoming books and columns in Helotes Highlights and other publications will continue to chronicle Helotes and Texas history, ensuring that her legacy of documenting our history lives on. She’ll also continue to lead the way in preserving Helotes’ history through her leadership with the Historical Society of Helotes.

Getting to know Cindy and seeing her exceptional dedication to the people of Helotes has been a blessing, and I am humbled to take her seat on the Helotes City Council next month.

In the meantime, I hope you’ll join me in the council chambers at Helotes City Hall at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 to applaud my friend and a fantastic public servant. #helotes #cityofhelotes #helotescitycouncil #CivicAward #helotesevent
